With over 25 years of experience as a Family Medicine doctor, including serving as a Medical Director at Kaiser Permanente, Dr. Afflalo has dedicated her life to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. Her commitment to the community extends far beyond the clinic—Dr. Afflalo leads monthly health fairs at the Jackie Robinson YMCA, offering free onsite medical treatment and wraparound services to those in need.

Dr. Suzanne Afflalo is a highly experienced Family Physician with over 25 years of dedication to patient care. Before co-founding IWC Primary Care, Dr. Afflalo spent 23 years as a partner with the Southern California Permanente Medical Group at Kaiser Permanente, where she held several key leadership roles. She served as Chief of the Family Medicine Department for six years and was the SCPMG Professional Staff President for three years, all while shaping the future of medicine by teaching medical students and residents as an Associate Faculty member at UC San Diego since 1994.
Dr. Afflalo earned her medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC, and completed her Family Medicine Residency at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Los Angeles. Her commitment to improving healthcare extended beyond her day-to-day responsibilities, as she also served on numerous committees during her time at Kaiser. Dr. Afflalo’s extensive background and leadership experience make her an exceptional choice for patients seeking knowledgeable, compassionate care.
