There are moments in healthcare when something simply feels right. It’s not about a resume or a title. It’s about a presence that quietly changes the atmosphere of a room. Patients recognize this feeling before a single word is spoken.

Today, we are honored to welcome Ms. Skylar Veltri, MSN, FNP-C to IWC Primary Care.

NP Skylar Veltri, IWC Primary Care

A Warm Welcome to Skylar Veltri

NP Skylar Veltri is not just another healthcare provider. She embodies a unique blend of compassion and professionalism. Her journey with us began during her clinical rotation, where she quickly made a lasting impression.

In the exam room, NP Skylar leans in. She listens intently, maintaining eye contact and allowing moments to breathe. Patients often start with a routine concern but find themselves sharing more than they initially intended. This happens not because they are prompted, but because they feel safe and heard.

Outside the exam room, her warm greetings and genuine interactions elevate the clinic's atmosphere. She connects with our medical assistants, asking how they are doing and truly meaning it. Many see themselves in her, recognizing someone who understands their work and the challenges they face. NP Skylar checks in and offers help before it’s needed. She pays attention to details that most people overlook. Over time, she didn’t just join our environment; she enhanced it.

It didn’t take long for Dr. Suzanne Afflalo, NP Danielle Gordon, and NP Monica Cistrone to see what we all recognized: NP Skylar had IWC written all over her.

Built in the Moments That Matter Most

Behind NP Skylar's presence is a clinician shaped by experience. In healthcare, precision and composure are not optional.

NP Skylar began her academic journey at the University of Florida (2015 to 2018) and earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati (2023 to 2025). Her background in critical care and travel nursing placed her in high-acuity environments. In these settings, decisions carry weight and time is limited. She developed the ability to remain steady, think clearly, and connect quickly with patients from diverse backgrounds.

That experience shows up in ways patients can feel. She brings calm when things are uncertain, focus when situations are complex, and presence when it matters most.

Care That Patients Can Feel

NP Skylar believes healthcare is most effective when patients feel heard, respected, and involved in their care.

Her time in critical care provided her with a clear perspective. Many serious conditions begin quietly, long before they reach advanced stages. This insight has shaped her commitment to prevention, early intervention, and thoughtful chronic disease management.

Her approach is proactive, not reactive. Patients will notice this in the way conversations unfold. There is space to talk, to understand, and to make informed decisions. From this foundation come better outcomes, earlier diagnoses, stronger control of chronic conditions, and greater confidence moving forward.

A Whole Person, Not Just a Visit

At IWC Primary Care, we define care by relationships built over time. NP Skylar brings a whole-person approach to every interaction. Physical health, emotional well-being, lifestyle, and long-term goals are all part of the conversation. Real health is built together, not in isolation.

A Natural Fit

Outside of the clinic, NP Skylar enjoys running, hiking, and sailing. She values time with her fiancé and her Aussiedoodle, Rivian. This balance reflects the lifestyle she encourages in her patients.

This is not just a beginning; it’s a continuation. It’s a continuation of how she showed up as a student, how she connected with patients and staff, and how she made an impression long before today.
